My apologies if this is the wrong place to post this, but I wasn't sure where to go..
I am 27 years old and wondering if my issues constitute seeing a doctor about OC. I never would have thought to see someone about this until a girl I know with OC shared her symptoms and encouraged people to speak with their doctor if they have similar issues. I know this is not the place for professional medical help, but I was just hoping to get some feedback.
My issues began 4 1/2 years ago. I've seen a multitude of doctors in this time- had a ton of tests, a colonoscopy and some scans for my back - but have not received any answers or relief. I have several symptoms:
- chronic back pain for 4 years
- heavy fatigue, required sleep 10 hours/night and still tired
- chronic constipation lasting 2 years now (made worse by birth control pills)
- irregular, heavy periods lasting 3-7 weeks
- bloating and sometimes sharp abdominal pains
- regular yeast infections, sometimes UTIs
- 2015 PCOS diagnosis - first TV ultrasound revealed cervical cysts, septated nabothian cyst and one 2.7 x 2.3 x 1.7 cm anechoic cyst on left ovary. "No free fluid is seen in the cul-de-sac"
- shortly after at another TVU my doctor said he saw "many small cysts" lending to his PCOS diagnosis
- I have a large, bloated stomach and it often looks like I'm pregnant. but have had this a long time.
- I am not overweight. generally healthy and in shape
Also in 2010, I had surgery to remove my appendix. During the surgery the surgeon found 2 large left ovarian cysts, one which he was concerned about for its size, so he went on to remove them since he was already in. He told me to follow up on this, but as I was a young college kid with no worries, I didn't bother.
Should I ask for a CA125?
