Hi Everyone - Has anyone experienced or know of someone who was on immunotherapy & tried raw hemp oil? This would be CBDa Oil, raw, not heated.
I am on immunotherapy since June for ovarian cancer, but the last scan was very ambiguous. I had two spots shrink, one grew and one new one appeared. All small in size, but various changes up and down in size. So, the doctors are very unsure if it is working or not, working yet or not. or if some of the growth is actually white blood cells collecting to do their job, but can't tell that on the scan results. Very unsettling.
How long does it take for immunotherapy to work? Anyone else trying it for OVC? I have another scan this week and will find out results next. I'm worried it will show more growth (real or pseudo), and cause them to take me off the trial. :(
I'm also looking into other integrative therapies and raw hemp oil, CBDa oil is one. But when I read articles online, many people say to be careful, not to do it, to do it, etc. All over the board. Does anyone know from their own experience of being on immunotherapy for OVC and trying it?
I just feel like I am being very passive sitting here waiting for scan results, for treatments that may or may not be working, etc. I do NOT want to go back to regular chemo drugs until there are no other options since it eventually stops working for most people. I don't want to lose precious time sitting here when I could be doing additional things to help along the way, so I am trying to look into a variety of things like keto diet for starving the cancer cells of sugar, adding walking to my physical activity, etc.
I am overall very healthy otherwise, just have this pesky stage 4 OVC that was diagnosed in May 2015 that doesn't want to go away now. NED for 14 months after chemo the first time, then did a trial with PARP inhibitors for 16 months. One spot grew slightly, so it threw me off the trial. Now, immunotherapy trial.
Any help and info is greatly appreciated!
THANK YOU!
