I am 66 years old and thought I was in perfect health and condition. But, in mid December, I went in to get a ultra sound because the doctor suspected I had gall stones. That's when an ovarian mass the size of a satsuma was discovered. I just passed the 20 year mark of being cancer free - in 1998 after a partial hysterectomy, it was discovered I had endometrial cancer. I was told there was a 95% chance that the cancer would not recurr. I thought those were good odds, so the ultra sound discovery was shocking to me. I am hoping the ladies in this discussion group will have answers to my many questions about what is next for me. I will have a cat scan this week, will meet with the doctor on Jan 2 and my surgery is scheduled for January 7. I have no fear - yet - I believe that is because of my deep faith in God. I know this walk will not be easy and that I will need companions who have walked the walk before me and who are willing to share their knowledge and story to help me on my way. That is my hope for joining this forum.
