One year ago today, I was officially diagnosed with cancer. I had gone in for a routine appointment, and they ordered an x-ray. On the x-ray they found fluid on my lungs. I was sent to the ER to have the fluid drained. They thought I had pneumonia. I was given a CT Scan, and the radiologist noticed a small spot near my cervix, no other radiologist saw it (this guy saved my life). A few hours later, I was told I had cervical cancer, but a few days I was told that it was stage iv ovarian cancer.
I am about to get another CT scan to see how I am responding to my current regimen. My symptoms are subsiding, but my CA-125 is still elevated (stable). I have stage IV epilethial high grade adenocarcinoma.
