My sister was diagnosed of ovarian cancer IIIC in Jan 2014 and had a successful operation followed by platinum based chemo treatments. However, the cancer came back 1.5 years later and becomes platinum resistant after two relapses. Her current health status won't allow for further chemo treatment and latest CA125 counts reach 500+. As her brca test is negative, she may not get good results by taking Olaparib or Niraparib. I wonder what options are still available for late stage OC patients. I heard CAR-T or TCR-T trials may help. However, they are more effective for hematological tumors than for solid tumors. Should my sister participate in CAR-T or TCR-T trials?
