Hey everyone, I am new to this website. My mom was recently diagnosised with Stage 3B low-grade serous ovarian cancer. She had her debulking procedure and started her gruling 18 weeks of weekly Carbo/Taxol. She is currently on week 9. It has been rough, really rough. Severe nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, weakness, loss of appitite...you name it shes had it. Recently she started having tachycardia with movement. Sitting still her heart rate is in the 80s but once she stands up even to get up to go to the bathroom her heart rate spikes up into the 150s-160s and cant catch her breath. Once she sits back down it goes away. This is new for her, they have ran all the test everything comes back negative. Its causing her to be extrmely weak almost wheelchair bound (previous a very healthy, active 60 year old) Has anyone expericed this before? Any reccomendations? We are starting to think its just the side effects of her chemo which begs the question......with low grade serous carcinoma do you even finish the chemo?!?! I would love to hear from some of the other low-grade surviors about their experience, treatments and success. Any and all information is greatly appreciated as we are treading in new and scary waters! Thank you!
