Hi All,
I was diagnosed with Stage 1A mucinous ovarian adenocarcinoma ( grade 3, infiltrative, signet ring cell features ) in Septembet 2018. This came as a big suprise after my doctors thougth they were removing a benign cystadenoma. I had surgery to remove my right ovary and the cancer. Undergoing chemo now - 3 cycles of carbo/taxol. After chemo my gyneonc wants me to have another surgery to remove left ovary and uterus. I am 35 and not looking forward to early menopause.
From what I read mucinous is rare - even more rare for it to be grade 3. Anybody else with a similar diagnosis? What treatment did you go through? Total hysterectomy? How often do you get monitored after treatment.
Anuybody with Stage 1 A recurrence? What symptoms did you have?
Thanks,
Magda
